To Write Love On Her Arm (TWLOHA)

This week on the show we talked about a very serious subject, "Cutting". One of the shows loyal listens Jackie (Tiwtter.com/TheRealJackie) wrote into the show requesting that we talk about the subject and shine light on To Write Love On Her Arm (TWLOHA). To Write Love on Her Arms is a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide. TWLOHA exists to encourage, inform, inspire and also to invest directly into treatment and recovery of those that suffer from this unfortunate issue, so it is my hope that you will visit their website at http://www.twloha.com/ and learn more about how you can support this grat organization.

The Fourth Kind

Last night I finally went to the movies its been awhile since I've seen a flick. Movies aren't like they use to be and when you finally catch a flick that you want to see something comes out and then for some reason I can't go see it. I decided that watching flicks is something that I miss so I intend to catch up on my movie watching. I saw the film The Fourth Kind that is based on actual events. True events that took place in Nome, Alaska. In the film they use real audio and footage. But they also use fictional characters with actors to tell the story. All the people that took part in these events refused to be in the film or have anything to do with the film.

I don't want to give anything away because I would ruin the story. If you enjoy alien stories or anything from another time. This is the film to see. It gave me the chills and I didn't sleep well last night at all. I am a big believer and I am very in tune with my faith and spiritual side. This proved to me that there is without a doubt a living life of its own aside from us on earth. The real footage they show will make you feel like oh my gosh is this really happening am I really seeing this?

Its interesting to know that there are over 11 million cases that are unsolved in regards to aliens, UFO's and abductions. This film is mainly about abductions. In the film they explained that there are four kinds of steps when it comes to aliens.

1.Seeing a UFO

2.Government proof and evidence

3.Contact

4. The abduction

Creepy huh? Well if this floats your boat I say go see this film. I give it two thumbs up and 4 stars.

I was sold hopefully you will be too.

Movember Moustaches

I am excited about Movember and it is my hope you are to. For those that don't know what Movember is, it's an annual month-long event involving the growing of moustaches. Simply put it's the MONTH OF THE MOUSTACHES.

Since 2004, the Movember Foundation charity has run Movember events to raise awareness and funds for men's health issues, such as prostate cancer and depression. Originally started to help men in both Australia and New Zealand, you can find events and people celebrating Movember across the globe.

In honor of Movember, I thought I would post a video of an interver I did in the past with Randy Jones of the legendary group YMCA. During the video Randy talks about Movember and his Chevron Moustache. For more information on Movember and how you can raises funds and awareness for men's health please visit Movember.com. Asylum.com has joined together with 25 other websites to help raise awareness and donations and you can visit their article Get Ready for Movember for the complete list. You may also learn about what type of Moustache you have at the American Moustache Institue by clicking here.

Go Yankees!

I am so excited because this is the first year that I am really getting into sports ok let me take that back I started getting into sports when the Giants won the superbowl. Last night I stayed home and watched the world series. It was alot of fun. I was really into it. Its been awhile when I had the time to really sit down and watch a whole game and actually understand whats going on. LOL.... I just recently learned how football and baseball works. I know I am so behind but its that old saying that until someone explains or teaches one doesn't know. I always had the problem of hanging out with guys or girls that knew all the ins and outs on sports but no one would ever teach me the ropes. Now I get how most of it works. I am a true girly girl but I got a tomboy in me and I dig baseball now. I have a new found respect for it. I hope we win the series its been very entertaining to watch and I love our pitcher Mariano!!!! I love how they save him for the end its like a treat. Phillies was kicking butt in the beginning but we got lucky with A-rod. Phillies have some good players. With all that said I look forward to watching more sports and being a team player. I am from NY so I love my east coast teams. In away I wish I was in Vegas so I can bet on sports that's a fun and easy way to win fast $ :) I am not a big gambler but every now and then I will take a chance. Good luck Yankees my bets on you!

Best Poem Ever

Share with your mother, sister, female friends. Have a blessed day!

MAYA ANGELOU'S BEST POEM EVER

A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE ... enough money within her control to move out and rent a place of her own, even if she never wants to or needs to... something perfect to wear if the employer, or date of her dreams wants to see her in an hour....

A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE ... a youth she's content to leave behind.... a past juicy enough that she's looking forward to retelling it in her old age.... a set of screwdrivers, a cordless drill, and a black lace bra... one friend who always makes her laugh... and one who lets her cry...

A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE … a good piece of furniture not previously owned by anyone else in her family.... eight matching plates, wine glasses with stems, and a recipe for a meal, that will make her guests feel honored...

A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE … a feeling of control over her destiny... how to fall in love without losing herself..

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW... how to quit a job, break up with a lover, and confront a friend without; ruining the friendship....

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW... when to try harder... and WHEN TO WALK AWAY...

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW... that she can't change the length of her calves, the width of her hips, or the nature of her parents.. that her childhood may not have been perfect...but it's over...

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW... what she would and wouldn't do for love or more... how to live alone... even if she doesn't like it...

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW.. . whom she can trust, whom she can't, and why she shouldn't take it personally...

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW... where to go... be it to her best friend's kitchen table... or a charming Inn in the woods... when her soul needs soothing...

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW... What she can and can't accomplish in a day... a month...and a year...

Just wanted to share this it really touched me and hopefully it will touch you too, spread the word.....

My #1 Heavy Metal Concert

I recently took a trip to the mid west and saw 2 different heavy metal bands perform. All I have to say is WOW! I have never seen anything like it. I consider myself someone that likes all types of music and I am always down to have a new experience. The reason I went to see this concert is because a friend of mine named Alex Foster was the drummer for a band called 23 cent solution. They performed along with 2 other bands. I only could stand seeing them and the band that came after them named Hemlock. Who opened up for Slayer. My ears were on fire I had to put tp in my ears lol.... I felt weird because every time someone came up to me to talk I couldn't hear them and I had to remove the tp from my ears just to hold a conversation. I had a blast though you gotta check out 23 cent solution on MySpace. Its amazing how the lead singers do all that screaming. There really is an art to it. You say to yourself wow they are for sure going to ruin their voice but its just like singing to them but in a different way. Not sure if I am going to hit up another concert like this in awhile but it was for sure a fun concert and to see people mosh pit and bang their hands in the air like a crazy beast and push one another all over the place was a special sight of its own. I did get scared at times because I was like if someone touches me its on LOL.... But overall I feel like its a check I can check off on my list of things to do. Its vital to try new things and experience life in a different way. I for sure felt like a metal head and now that I am back in Cali. Its back to the hip hop and pop/dance scene. I will never forget this concert and I hope that all those bands have lots of success and continue to party like a rockstar!!!! xoxox
